AcuityCFO Helps Launch the Metro Atlanta Council for Entrepreneurship as Strategic Partner
NEW INITIATIVE TO SUPPORT ENTREPRENEURS ACROSS ATLANTA
ATLANTA, GA, June 3, 2009 AcuityCFO is happy to announce that it has joined forces with the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce as a Strategic Partner for the Metro Atlanta Council for Entrepreneurship (MACE). The MACE is a bold new entrepreneurial support initiative from the Gwinnett Chamber, one of the nation’s top 3 metro chambers, and is the only organization of its kind in the Metro Atlanta region.
The Council’s goals are to identify, enable, and promote all innovative, high-growth, high-impact companies and to foster and accelerate the region’s entrepreneurial culture. The Council is only open to entrepreneurs with less than 250 employees and their managers.
In short, the Council for Entrepreneurship is the one-stop shop for anything and everything related to entrepreneurial and small business growth in the entire metro Atlanta region, bringing the greatest national experts in their fields together with local small business executives and owners to offer solutions to their biggest challenges. In addition to monthly workshops, the program also offers an executive roundtable program for fellow CEOs to share and discuss common business issues. MACE also offers a Meet the Purchasers program where Council members have the opportunity to meet with purchasing agents from large companies to learn what they buy locally and their purchasing procedures, and a Diversity Supplier Forum which assists minority and women-owned businesses in obtaining contracts from government agencies and the private sector.
AcuityCFO will hold a series of workshops in the 3rd quarter focusing on Finance & Capital. The first workshop will discuss the various roles of financial management – Controller, CFO and the CEO – and the role each plays in managing the financial performance of a company. The second workshop will discuss the concept of “Cash is King” and how to build a culture around cash management. The final workshop will bring together two separate panels of experts on fundraising from both a debt and equity perspective.
